Make art.

Make change.

Make art. Make change.

Inner Peace Art Studio exists to put real, healing, doable art into the hands of the women who need it most.

Because art is medicine, and it’s for everybody.

Hi, I’m Katie.

A few years ago, I was living outside Philadelphia with my husband and our pup, working in senior leadership at a marketing agency and heading toward the career I thought I was supposed to want. Then my health fell apart. Long COVID, POTS, Celiac, anemia, mold exposure, surgery, burnout, grief, one thing after another. I went from the woman who could push through anything, leading a team, to someone lying on the couch wondering who I’d become.

In the fall of 2022, alone at my kitchen table and looking for anything that might make life feel less over, I logged onto an online painting event. For the first time in months, I felt calm, curious, present, and not alone. That feeling cracked something open. I realized how many women are quietly grieving versions of themselves that nobody else even realized they’d lost.

So I built the thing I needed. Not another technique class. A studio that meets you in a fluctuating body, on a flare day, from the couch, and helps you find your way back to yourself one small painting at a time. I’m not teaching this from the outside. I built it because I needed it too.

The background behind it.

I bring two decades in marketing, a Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications, and years coaching hundreds of high-achievers through anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout, alongside evidence-based arts-in-health training. Most art teachers teach technique. I teach the human.

What we believe.

Process matters more than product. It’s not illegal to make ugly art.

Art is medicine, and anyone can make it.

You can paint from bed, the couch, or the kitchen table, in five-minute increments, on the days you cancel everything else.

No one should have to do it alone.

You may not get your old life back, and you can build a steady, creative, grounded one from here.

Our through-line:

Art is medicine, and it’s for everybody, especially the women the wellness world forgets.

You don’t get the old you back. You make a new one, one small painting at a time, with women who get it.

You’d be in good company.
